The End of the World As We Know It?

Is it the end of the world as we know it?  As years have passed the use of paper and glass has decreased, but our use of plastic has increased by alot.  Plastic is polluting both land and sea.  Animals are dying from plastic consumtion and even contact from the plastic we leave laying around.  As humans it is easier to just throw the waste away then to recycle and re-use.  It's easier said than done.  But as we keep polluting animals are dying, water is not being as healthy as it could be,  and even if we stopped using plastic, I am sure that we will find a different durrable substance to use that is worse than plastic.  The truth is most humans don't want to give up plastic because it is too convienent.  Face it, EVERYTHING we use is plastic.  Eating utensils, everyday clothing, cleaning products like chemicals and vacums, certain cars, even this computer I am using to type this blog contains a plastic computer, mouse, moniter, and even keyboard.  So if almost everything we use is made of plastic why give it up.  The truth is every single person is too stuborn to take care of this problem.  They figure that if everyone else does this and isn't doing anything about it why should I, and that's alright.  Nobody can help being like this, because we are only human.  But if everybody did at least one small thing to make a difference, like recycling or reusing, then all of those small things would add up to a big thing.  That big thing is a "Great Difference" and that is going to point us into the right direction.  But until that happens the world is slowly dying and before we know it, it will be the end of the world as we know it.
