HIS CONCLUSION...

In my opinion subject of war is a bad thing.  Blake Miller is a good example.  His dreadful experience in Iraq led to depression.  When I was watching his documentary I felt angry and sad.  Before the war, he had his whole life ahead of him.  He planned on marrying his life long friend and he planned on a happy life, But that was before he got sent to Iraq.  He explained to us how he felt while he was in Iraq.  He took the lives of others and that led to suicidal thoughts.  He must've felt scared, not alone, but scared.  His job was to kill people.  He called them "innocent people", meaning that they were just normal citizens of Iraq.  When he returned home, he didn't feel the same.  He couldn't sleep, He felt alone, and his relationship with his wife was hanging by a thread.  He went to the office of a Congressman, in Washington D.C., for help,  But the congressman told Miller he didn't have time.  This disturbed me.  Our government sends us out to fight for this country, they pay us for it, and some Americans get an education out of it... But when it comes to being suicidal, the government apparently doesn't have time to help the citizens in need.  I feel that war does things to people who are not emotionally stable for this kind of work, and that the government should find a way to help those people whether they have time or not.  Blake was not emotionally stable and he deserved that help.

Hobbies T_T

A hobby is how you describe a person.  It defines who they are, how they live, and what makes them happy.  It also shows what kind of people that person might hang around.  I love to read and most of my friends do.  My hobbies are soccer, any kind of art form, singing, and dancing (I guess singing and dancing falls into the any kind of art category so lets just stick with any kind of art).  I love to sing, it expresses how I feel.  It gives me a chance to be as loud as I want and I can show my emotions through singing.  I also love to dance.  I made the dance team and that made me happy, because I can do the thing I love with people who love it also.  Lastly, I love soccer.  It is my sport.  I love chasing after the ball or kicking it high up.  It's a lot of exercise and that's also why I love it.  I would rather play soccer, than sit on the couch or chair and watch t.v. or get on the computer.  I enjoy my team and I love that I can make friends when playing soccer.  I guess my hobbies describe me as a fun loving, happy, hyper person. :)

My Favorite Author

My favorite author would have to be Stephen King.  To me Stephen King is an icon and one of the many people I look up to when it comes to story writing.  Stephen King is such a great writer that the majority of his books have been made into films.  Books like "The Green Mile" and "Misery", have received awards for the great work put in by Stephen King.  Many of the movies have won just as many awards also.  If my goal in life wasn't set on being a doctor for my career, I would become a writer, but not any writer, a writer like Stephen King.  Not one of his books have the same feeling or story plot, like most other author's books. Other authors books take a while to get to the adventure or action.  In Stephen Kings books, he makes you think.  When I read his books, I think about the endless possibilities that can happen in the real world.  Almost all of his books have a little mystery to them.  Whether it's a haunted car or a mad women, he leaves you wanting more.  Stephen King is an amazing author and I hope you get a chance to sit back and enjoy his stories.

Doll Face-

Watching the video "Doll Face" was different.  It made me feel sad but like I was getting my revenge on someone I didn't know. The robot doll and T.V. made me irritated.  It's like the T.V. wanted the doll to die and the doll was stupid enough to fall for it.  The doll was more concerned for her looks rather then her personality. If I were the doll I would've ignored the t.v.  Watching the video reminds me of how people act in the real world.  We watch t.v. and see a lot of celebrities that get work done or wear a special make-up.  When the doll wanted to be pretty and put on make up, I felt a similar feeling. That feeling of wanting to be pretty. So the make-up she put on didn't bother me.. It was the following of the t.v. that bothered me. She wanted to be pretty so much that she was willing to risk it all. Not realizing her natural beauty. I think that relates to plastic surgery in America these days. But little do people realize that out of all of those commercials, at least one is a girl that has no work done and is a real girl with natural beauty.  When the doll broke I felt happy.  Like she got the lesson she deserved.
