MUSIC PART 2: 2011 ♪♪☼☼♫♫

Avril Lavigne♫

Lady gaga ♪

Sooo many albums are being released this new year.  I am very excited to hear about the new types of styles, artists and music that come out.  I have already heard some new songs by a few people.  One person I am going to talk about is Avril Lavigne.  I am not an Avril fan and I do not like some/ most of her songs, but during spring of last year she was on the Disney's "Alice in Wonderland" album.  I did like that song because I thought that it fit the movie's backround well.  Avril has come out with a new album for 2011 called "Goodbye Lullaby", with the new hit song "What the Hell".  I actually think that her new song is catchy. Lady Gaga is also coming out with a new album.  I am especially excited for this :)  She just has her own freaky style of doing things and that takes guts.  Some other american artists are Pitbull, Cold play, Death cab for cutie, Lupe Fiasco, Justin Timberlake. Some other worldly artists such as the amazing Korean groups are Jewlery, MC Sniper, and Crucial Star.

YUMMY COCKROACHES :) ☺♥♥♥♥

MAGGOT COVERED CARAMEL APPLE

CHOCOLATE COCKROACH ROLL
Insects... In our stomachs.... As potential food?  I guess the big question is, how do Americans feel about insects being mass produced to become apart of our everyday diets.  Me, myself, and I, feel that insects as an everyday meal is, well, GROSS. I would NEVER  eat an insect.  The video we watched on monday was nerve wracking.  They say that a big part of are population already eats insects and that in by 2020 we will have a much bigger population.  They think that if we cut back on meats and other massed produced products and start eating insects, the rate of starvation and famine in the future will decrease.  I feel that may be true, but I have been raised and probably everyother American has been raised that,  Insects are pests.  When I hear COCKROACH, I think filth.  When I see MAGGOTS, I think trash.  So when I see chocolate covered COCKROACHES and MAGGOTS being used as sprinkles on cupcakes and cakes,  I throw up a little in my mouth.  No matter what they put on the insects to make them better, I will never eat them.  I would probably become cannibal or eat my dog, before I eat one.  But thats MY oppinion.  If you want to eat bugs, be my guest. Manga- The Japanese drawing styles of cartoons.

Manga
Manga, in my opinion, is the best drawing style of cartoons in the world.  It is so different from american cartoons.  I think manga puts american cartoonists to shame.  The people of Japan or any other asian decended countries are very creative.  When I look at american cartoons, I see people who look exactly like us humans.  Even the animals look like our animals.  Now when I look at manga I see flair.  The humans look like us, with the exceptions of big heads and abnormally large eyes.  The color schemes are different also.  American cartoons have dull looking colors like deep red or dark blue. Manga has vibrant colors like bright orange and neon green. The actions scenes of American cartoons use words like "POW!" and "WHAM!",  while manga scenes just Japanese lettering or calligraphy. I have posted and labeled manga cartoons and american cartoons so you can see the difference.

These are a few of the MANY genres of music.  Music gives feeling, it paints pictures in your mind.  Thats why I am not biased against any form of music.  I like to listen to all the genres I can get my hands on.  My favorite genre is alternative rock and my favorite alternative band is "The Black Keys".  I also love how when a song comes out, a music video then follows.  "The Black Keys" have a song called "Tighten up" and the video is really funny.  I also like Grunge and "Nirvana" (My favorite band) practically got rid of 80's metal, and invented a new type of rock called grunge.  Nirvana portrays pictures in there songs so beautifully. :)  The order that my musical taste goes in is:
Alternative, Grunge, Acoustic, Hip-Pop, Rap, R&B, then Country.  I absolutley hate most country songs.  I can't say I just hate country, because I do like some country songs/ artists.  I have posted a few pictures of examples of these musical genres, and some of them are my favorite artists. Enjoy. ♥

NEVER SATISFIED

Max Seidlitz
When I think about food, I think about being full after eating, but to never be full and having to eat all the time would be a painful expirence.  Victims of the Prader Willi Syndrome have to expirence that feeling every day of their lives.  I think about what I have seen on T.V. or in documentarys these people go through extreme pain everyday and night, when they don't eat. But when they do eat,  they gourge themselves, never being full.  It makes me sick if they can't eat because of the suffering they go through, then again it also makes me sick when they just keep eating, and Eating, and EATING.  They do have treatments for this, but the treatments only attack certain symptoms, so the victims still are in pain.  It makes me wish that there was some way to help them.  People like Max Seidlitz think that not eating is like sharp knives in their stomachs. When Max doesn't eat he throws tantrums and I feel that being a parent of a Prader Willi's victim would get too out of hand.  I feel espeacially bad for the infants that suffer from decreased muscle tone and cannot move much.  Having this disease of never being satisfied is a major impact on a family.

Yin and Yang

The wonderful symbol of Yin and Yang facinates me.  How can people believe that a simple circle can create all of the interactions in the earth?  I had to do some more research to better understand the concept of Yin and Yang.  What I found that every thing outside the circle represents everything in the world and that Yin and Yang (two figures, one black="Yin" and one white="Yang") represent two energies that cause everything to happen.  I love art and when I draw Yin and Yang I usually draw them as koi fish.  You can represent them using almost anything and thats what I love about this symbol.  I love the dragon picture of Yin and Yang, but I always love the original symbol of Yin and Yang.  I love that Yin and Yang are complete opposites.  Yin and Yang are like God and the Devil.  Yin is the devil ( He causes the destruction, evil, hate), while Yang is God ( He Creates life, goodness, and love.)  What I love the most is that they balance each other out. With out Yin there is no Yang and without Yang there is no Yin. <3

The End of the World As We Know It?

Is it the end of the world as we know it?  As years have passed the use of paper and glass has decreased, but our use of plastic has increased by alot.  Plastic is polluting both land and sea.  Animals are dying from plastic consumtion and even contact from the plastic we leave laying around.  As humans it is easier to just throw the waste away then to recycle and re-use.  It's easier said than done.  But as we keep polluting animals are dying, water is not being as healthy as it could be,  and even if we stopped using plastic, I am sure that we will find a different durrable substance to use that is worse than plastic.  The truth is most humans don't want to give up plastic because it is too convienent.  Face it, EVERYTHING we use is plastic.  Eating utensils, everyday clothing, cleaning products like chemicals and vacums, certain cars, even this computer I am using to type this blog contains a plastic computer, mouse, moniter, and even keyboard.  So if almost everything we use is made of plastic why give it up.  The truth is every single person is too stuborn to take care of this problem.  They figure that if everyone else does this and isn't doing anything about it why should I, and that's alright.  Nobody can help being like this, because we are only human.  But if everybody did at least one small thing to make a difference, like recycling or reusing, then all of those small things would add up to a big thing.  That big thing is a "Great Difference" and that is going to point us into the right direction.  But until that happens the world is slowly dying and before we know it, it will be the end of the world as we know it.
